RIFLE CLASSES:

 

Factory – Rifle must have original barrel, stock and action.  No modifications or accurizing except  stock bedding or trigger work; safety must work.  Any power of scope is allowed.  Any handgun may shoot in this class.  Rifles must be common, mass produced.  Certain rifles will be classed as custom, i.e. Rem 40X, Cooper, Sako and ALL single shot rifles.  Match director will determine questionable rifles.  CHECK WITH HIM BEFORE YOU DECIDE ON A RIFLE IN THE FACTORY CLASS.

 

Custom – Any customized rifle under 20 lbs.  Custom barrel, custom stock, custom twist or an accurizing done to the rifle.  Any scope and any trigger are allowed, and any rifle determined by the Match Director to be in this class.

 

6BR Class – Any 6mm or smaller rifle under 20 lbs. chambered in bench rest caliber; such as 22, PPC, BR, etc., and any rifle determined by the Match Director to be in this class.

 

30BR Class – Any 30 caliber rifle under 20 lbs. chambered in bench rest caliber such as 30 PPC, BR, all slow twist barrels and any rifle determined by the Match Director to be in this class.

 

RANGE:

There is a 12’X55’ covered firing line with 15 cement shooting benches.  Shooters may bring their own seat.  Front rifle rest and bags (1 or 2) and a non adjustable rear bag allowed.

No one piece rifle rests (front rest cannot be connected to rear rest).  You cannot build a bed out of sand bags.  Factory guns may not have anything attached to stocks to fit in rests.  No Spotting Scopes or coaching of shooters.  An adult will be allowed on the line with a junior shooter for safety purposes.  Equipment questions will be answered by the Match Director.

 

MATCH FORMAT

We will shoot 100 yards one match and 200 yards the next match.  Registration and warm up will start at 10:00 AM.  Match will start at 11:00 AM.  7 matches will be scheduled.  You must shoot 2 – 100 yard and 2 – 200 yard matches of the first 6 to get an average.  The 7th match will be a Fun Match, where the averages for the season will be announced and plaques will be awarded.
